Ishigaki Village 石垣の村
Nestled along the Hinokage River, Ishigaki Village is a remnant of another time, with stonework dating back to the mid-1800’s. The village also has facilities you can rent for events or overnight accommodations.

Shishigawa 鹿川
Another small but lively village of Hinokage. Shishigawa is home to the Kuromikoto statue and also a yearly Night Kagura festival at the end of November.

Hinokage Bamboo Museum 日之影町竹細工資料館
Hinokage is the home of Kazuo Hiroshima, a famous bamboo craftsman whose works are even displayed in the Smithsonian in the US. The  bamboo museum showcases his works as well as others.

Seiunbashi 青雲橋 
Hinokage’s most famous bridge, Seiunbashi is a sight to behold. A nearby park provides a place for a rest, while Michi no Eki Seiunbashi (map) features local products.

Tensho Bridge 天翔大橋
Tensho is the first of its kind; a bridge that generates wind energy simply by being.

Ryuten-kyo 龍天橋
Also called the Rose Bridge, the third of Hinokage’s bridges spans 200 meters.

Mount Tansuke 丹助岳
The hiking trail is short and good for a quick hike.

Hachinohe Kannondaki 八戸観音滝
A breathtaking 45meter drop with a cave tucked away behind it.
