Ishigaki Village 石垣の村
Nestled along the Hinokage River, Ishigaki Village is a remnant of another time, with stonework dating back to the mid-1800’s. The village also has facilities you can rent for events or overnight accommodations.

Another small but lively village of Hinokage. Shishigawa is home to the Kuromikoto statue and also a yearly Night Kagura festival at the end of November.

Hinokage Bamboo Museum 日之影町竹細工資料館
Hinokage is the home of Kazuo Hiroshima, a famous bamboo craftsman whose works are even displayed in the Smithsonian in the US. The bamboo museum showcases his works as well as others.

Hinokage’s most famous bridge, Seiunbashi is a sight to behold. A nearby park provides a place for a rest, while Michi no Eki Seiunbashi (map) features local products.

Tensho Bridge 天翔大橋
Tensho is the first of its kind; a bridge that generates wind energy simply by being.
