Ibaragi Osteopathic Clinic　いばらぎ整骨院(鍼灸)
This chiropractor uses electrodes and massage beds, among other devices, to relax the back (and other body parts) and can also do hands-on treatment for about ¥400-¥800 (or more), depending on the treatment. With the lack of chairs at most Japanese parties, you may want to get some back care.

Dr. Goto
Is said to be a very good dentist. He has had training in the west and can speak English. You can get your teeth cleaned there for about ¥2500 (if you bring your Japanese health insurance card along).

Optometrists
There are a few along the main street in town (the street that has Muga Muchuu and leads to the Takachiho Gorge), but it is probably cheaper to go to Nobeoka or Kumamoto. They advertise with giant glasses in the front of their shop, and it is hard to miss.
