We all need a little bit of help sometimes. Maybe you’re new to lesson-planning and would like to see how others in your situation do it. Perhaps your JTE sprang a last-minute review or lesson on you and you’re not sure what to do. Even when you have the time to research ideas for a lesson, sometimes it is difficult to take what you’ve found in an ESL Google search and apply it to your specific situation. With this in mind, we’re developing our very own MAJET Teaching Materials Collection!
We have gathered these materials from a variety of sources. The Lesson Plans, Worksheets, and Activities section includes materials developed and shared by your fellow ALTs. We have also included recommended books and online resources which many have found helpful. The Teaching Tips and Examples section includes materials developed and shared by ALTs, university professors, and others involved in English education in Japan.
Many of the resources in both collections come from our yearly Skills Development Conference, an event where senior ALTs develop presentations to help their peers and first-year ALTs boost their skills. Because each year brings new discussion topics, sharing the resources here allows you to reap the benefits of years of Miyazaki ALT wisdom.
