One of the two bigger grocery stores in town. It is often cheaper and has more selection of produce. It also has big sales.

Azuro　アズーロ
The other larger grocery store. Has a good selection of foods that ACOOP doesn’t have. If you can’t find something at ACOOP, chances are Azuro may have it. Azuro also has one of the only 100 yen shops in the area and is great for cheep utensils, plates, cups, office supplies, etc.

Cosmos　コスモスディスカウントドラッグ
Has amenities (such as cleaning supplies, hygiene products, etc.) that the other two big grocery stores don’t have. You can also get most non-prescription medicines here.

Convenient place to buy everything for your house. Furniture selection leaves much to be desired, but for most everything else, it is decent.

Best Denki　ベスト電器高千穂店
Convenient place to buy washers, fans, lights, electronics, etc. Rather expensive though. It’s better to go to HomeWide for any electronics, or maybe Nobeoka and/or Kumamoto if HomeWide doesn’t have it.
