Winter is such a dull time, even in Miyazaki. We get so used to the sun for most of the year that the shortened days really take their toll. Because of this, our midyear party is an important event to get people out of their houses and raise spirits. This year we decided to switch up the masquerade a bit by giving it a theme: A Night at the Movies!

We invited everyone to dress as their favorite movie character or to glam it up for the red carpet, and the turnout was fantastic! Weather King were fabulous hosts, as always, and Luke created a filmtastic soundtrack to really get us in the movie mood.

The evening was a blast, and we can’t wait til next year’s Masquerade!
