The rainy season is upon us and with it comes Daiso humidifiers, hydrangeas, mould, and bittersweet farewells. Before our new and old friends leave Miyazaki for bigger, better things, let’s end it with a bang at the 2017 Farewell Party. Of all the gin joints, in all the towns, in all the world, our leavers will be walking into Aoshima’s Cafe Zeal to listen to Sam play it again. While we all eat and drink way too much, we’ll know that’s it’s not goodbye, it’s the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

A sumptuous vegetarian buffet in tropical Aoshima, with the option to BYO alcohol and meat (grills and soft drinks provided at the event).

Transportation Tips

BYO alcohol and meat is an option for this event. But if you do bring alcohol, please be responsible and organise to carpool or take public transport to the venue. There are approximately 20-25 parking spaces at the cafe and it’s also possible to park along the street.

The nearest train station is Sosanji (map), which is about a 25-minute walk to the venue. MAJET will be organising shuttles to and from the train station. If you think you’ll need a shuttle, please indicate so on your RSVP form.

The following chart depicts the recommended departure times to arrive to the event on time, and the last two departure times of the evening to make it home. Please plan accordingly.

(Note: Taking the train from Nichinan either gets you there early or after the event has started. That’s Miyazaki trains for you >_<)

To attend this event, please fill out this Google form before Sunday, July 2nd. Any RSVP forms received after this deadline will not be counted. If you’d like to invite guests, please ask them to submit their own RSVP form.
