The new JET year has started and there are many new faces to see throughout the prefecture. It’s about time we all got together to give our new JETs a great big ようこそ (welcome) and to have our new friends meet the rest of the JET participants. So, please join us for this year’s MAJET Welcome Party!

We’ll start the night off at Barno2Gatsu in the heart of downtown Miyazaki City for dinner, drinks, and mingling. Once we’re well fed and ‘hydrated,’ we’ll be off, Miyazaki-style, for a second round of evening adventures with a choice of karaoke downtown or a night of games at Round1 Stadium!

Welcome Party: Dinner Details

Enjoy a 2-hour nomihoudai (all-you-can-drink) with a course dinner!

MAJET is pleased to offer two after-dinner events

Please read about the two options below and choose which one (if any) of the two events you’d like to attend. Sharing your after-party preference in the RSVP form will help us plan for both events, but please note that you’re free to change your mind at any time about which after-dinner event you’d like to attend.

 

After-Dinner Option A: Karaoke

Let’s continue the celebration with a nijikai (after-party) in the Shidax party room! Come join in the fun with more mingling and the age-old Japanese tradition of karaoke!

Time:  10:00pm-midnight

After-Dinner Option B: Round1 Stadium

If you’re not big into drinking and/or karaoke, never fear! Join group B for a night of arcade games, bowling lanes, balloon rooms, outdoor sports, and a room full of massage chairs. Plus, if you work up the courage to give it a go in a smaller group, there are karaoke rooms too!

*New JETs will be able to sign up for MAJET membership during Orientation C.

You must make your reservation by 5:00pm on Wednesday, August 20th using this Google Form.  Please indicate which events you will be attending (dinner, karaoke, Round1), and don’t forget to get your replies in early to secure your place!

Any RSVPs received after the above deadline will not be taken into consideration — no exceptions.  If you want to invite guests, please feel free to do so! Just remember that each guest must also fill out their own RSVP form to be counted.
